Left Bastrop, TX yesterday, April 19th after our longest stay ever. Sure enjoyed visiting with friends in the area. Arrived at Southern Oaks in Aransas Pass, TX yesterday. Will be here for a week. Warm, windy and lots of standing water everywhere. Plenty of rain down here. We’ll be heading north towards Abilene, TX next Sunday when we leave here.

April 18th.....NASHVILLE, TN....Left Knoxville at 9 am CDT and arrived Jellystone Park in Nashville at 1:30. Mostly cloudy and 77 and was a good trip. I don’t usually stay in these expensive places ($48/night) but needed a full hookup to do laundry as well as more flushing for the new Reverse Osmosis and finding out there is a lot of stuff in maintaining this; particular when changing filters. May have to stay an extra day as severe storms forecast tomorrow.

23 Apr (Thu): Hollywood Casino RV Park, Bay St. Louis, MS, to Sunday. Today’s move was much to my liking as I logged 45 miles while Nancy took the wheel for 123 miles, much of which was in construction zones and heavy traffic - what a gal, eh! When not needed as navigator (our two GPS units did most of the talking) I passed the time counting big trucks, going with us or meeting us, and in one hour tallied 731 rigs. One would be hard pressed to think of anything not delivered by an 18-wheeler at some point.

Don’t call me a slacker. Drove more than my 100 miles I like to do. Left Mesquite at 7:30am and arrived at Navajo Dam, NM at 5:30 MST. 9 hours and 448 miles later. We normally stop in Page, about half way and do it in two days. No room in the manger in Page so went through. Made our usual 50 MPH average. After all a person does have to stop once in awhile. So great pulling in here, all these acres and we are the only ones in the RV park along the San Juan river. Trees budding out and still shorts
