Darlene and I began our summer trek yesterday. We drove from Florence to Yuma, AZ where we spent the night. This morning we drove the remaining 250 miles to our Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails campground in Menifee, CA. Off and on, we will spend about ten weeks her, interspersed with about six weeks within a hundred miles of here. We’ll be in southern CA until the first week in September when we return to our RV home base in Florence. |

Got home yesterday, 4/4, from Fresno. Carol got released from jury duty Wednesday for the rest of the week. She has to call in at 5pm today to see if she reports back on Monday. The court house is 153 miles from the house IF we drove the canyon. I will not drive the motor home in the canyon so we take the long way around and that makes the trip 261 miles. Bummer. We have our fingers crossed that she doesn’t have to report back in, at least for a while. |

We are at Ruby’s Inn RV Park, Site 239, outside Bryce Canyon National Park. We’ll be here for a month to make several visits into the park, but mostly to do a lot of ATV riding in Dixie National Forest. There are all sorts of trails and we can ride right out of the campground. Nice to be settled for awhile. We are at 7,777 feet and the air is nice and cool. No street lights so the stars will be close and bright. This is truely the good life! |

Holiday Inn Express Cedar City, UT 8470 The motorhome decided it wanted/needed a new radiator and exhaust manifold - so we are providing those, as well as a new fan!! Now we will need to travel for a few more years then we had planned, to rationalize the extra expense. We are out of the MH, in a motel, different for us, new for our cats. I have been sick for the 4-5 days, but am feeling better. The best news is we are safe, weather is great, Zion & Bryce Canyon are near. |
