14 July (Sun): The Meadows RV Park, Ketchum/Sun Valley, ID, to 08 Aug. A homecoming of sorts for me (John) as I grew up 80 miles to the south (Twin Falls), started skiing here at age 2 and at age 18 began working winters on the professional ski patrol. Imagine being barely out of high school and paid to ski about 120 days per year at a world class resort. My mates and I would often stand atop 9,150’ Baldy surveying the near endless snow clad mountain peaks and smile for we were certain ‘twas surely Heaven.

Our travels have taken us to eastern Washington State to the Tri-Cities area along the Columbia River. Weather is good, the kids are getting spoiled with all the grass, great wineries. I visited the world’s first full scale nuclear reactor. Very interesting tour.

The Great MisAdventure is taking another giant turn on the highway of life. The 5th wheel is once again our home but we plan on living at Fawn Hollow and build a house on our ranch. Chickens are comfortable in the mountains. Traffic is non-existent. Cell phones do not work, call the ranch @ 719seven8three0879. The power company has found our ranch and as of 1/17/2019 we have the POWER! Summer is here, fawns are playing, life is good.....

I am parked in Puyallup, WA for now. I will be staying until I get the electrical problems resolved which may take awhile given RV repair people are very busy this time of year and they don’t seem to accommodate people traveling thru who have problems. In the meantime, I look forward to visiting with friends and family in the area and doing more exploring while I am here. Unfortunately, this turn of events, means I won’t be going to Stewart, BC/Hyder, AK this summer.
