13 Sep (Thu): Longview Lake Campground, Lee’s Summit, MO, to 20 Sep after which we’ll move 26 miles north to Worlds of Fun Village to 02 October, a short run necessitated by a Jackson County Parks & Recreation policy limiting stays to 14 days (13 nights) even though multiple sites are empty - bureaucracy at its best!! Today is my Nancy’s birthday. Tomorrow and Saturday we will attend her 50th high school reunion, seemingly more than a bit suspect as she claims to be just 42 years old. Hmmmmm...........

The Great MisAdventure is taking another giant turn on the highway of life. The 5th wheel is once again our home but we plan on living at Fawn Hollow and build a house on our ranch. Chickens are comfortable in the mountains. Traffic is non-existent. Cell phones do not work, and the power company has yet to find our ranch. Might be pop-cycles before spring.....

It’s wet and windy, but we’re looking forward to seeing a little bit of the Apostle Islands the next 7 days. Starting to see color changes in many trees, will look for them as we travel the back roads. See Ya Cathe

Moved from Prairie du Chien to Galena, IL today--about 90 miles. Yesterday I enjoyed a nice hike and looked at ancient burial mounds, in addition to finding good views of the Mississippi River from various overlooks. Nice drive today; however, saw a lot more farms from narrow country roads than planned. Poor driving instructions--quite a few stories about how people got to the campground! Saw a lot of high creeks/rivers from rains and some flooding. Will be here thru the weekend. Cold tonight-down to 42.
